 Dr. Raghu named young optometrist of the year

    LAWRENCEVILLE – The New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians (NJSOP) presented its Young Optometrist of the Year Award to Rajeev Raghu, O.D., FAAO, of Jackson, New Jersey, during the organization’s October awards luncheon at Forsgate Country Club, Monroe.

  Dr. Raghu has been active in organized optometry since graduating from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1998.  

  He has been a member of the NJSOP for the past eight years and serves on many committees for the 650-member organization.  A member in good standing of the American Optometric Association, he currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Members Programs Committee and Young Optometrist Task Force for the NJSOP.

 The Young Optometrist of the Year Award is presented to an optometrist whose contributions to the profession and the society are exceptional.  To qualify for the award, the recipient has to have demonstrated outstanding growth within the profession.

• Graduated from Temple University
• Received his Fellowship in 2004
